Our goal it soothe the mind, body and spirit through natural herbs grown locally in Northern, VA or from gardens that are farmed by those with intentions of providing pure and natural products. Our blends are medicinally based and rooted in science. 

Additionally, we create clothing and accessories that express the diversity of the world around us. Each product is sustainably made and reflects our efforts to make our planet a better place. 

Bio: Rough Seas Productions LLC began as a form of escapism from the stress of graduate school. As the creator and owner of Rough Seas Productions, Jessica Eason is an environmental and marine scientist by training, working for the federal government to ensure that our oceans and atmosphere are respected and handled with care.

Jessica grew up on the shores of Massachusetts where the smell of salt-water and the sound of waves lulled her spirit from a young age. Always curious about sea-dwelling creatures, Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from Brown University, where she began her infatuation with the nervous system of gelatinous and early evolved marine animals, such as jellyfish and sea anemones. Jessica continued her studies at the University of Rhode Island, where she earned a master’s in Neuroscience. In 2022, Jessica went on to receive another master’s degree in Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Bioscience from Penn State University.

Now, Jessica lives in the Nation's Capital and values the creative outlet this brand, its art and its tendrils of nature provide. 

Mission Statement: This brand and our products reflect the colorful journey to reaching one’s goals, no matter how difficult the process. It’s about the calm before the storm, the exhaustion and struggle during the storm and the strength that comes while watching the colors after the storm passes. Life is unpredictable, dreams change, relationships come and go, but through starting this company we have learned that if you are centered, willing to work for what you want and have faith in what you’re capable of, you’ll always be able to weather the storm.
